So a while back I built a second pc to go in the living room. I have been using it just for browsing the internet and watching youtube. I finally got around to buying a gpu for it and was looking at 1050tis but I came accross an asus gtx 960 2gb brand new for $90. I couldn't pass it up. It's only going to be used for watching movies and possibly some of my older games such as skyrim or civilization 5. Now my question is did I do good? Does skyrim use much vram? That's the game I will be playing most on it.

Thank you. I guess I didn't realize how old that game is. It should do really well.

Seems like an absolute bargain, I wouldn't say too good to be true @Gam3r01, it performs about on par with a 1050Ti which costs $120, given it's an older gen card with arguably less optimization and not in high demand compared to lower voltage and more readily available modern cards.

I actually have it on hand. I got it on eBay. It's the reference model. I thought that too but he had 199 stars all positive transactions and it came today. I wonder if he just didn't realize what it was worth.

How do you keep up with the prices of everything so well? Lol. Good stuff. Thank you. Yeah the charts look pretty close between the 2. I was just worried about having only 2gb of vram but I want to be able to shut my main rig down and not have to be in a separate room from the family while I play Skyrim basically and the price was right.
