RAM 1x8+1x2 vs 2x4

Plain simple i have 2 slots for memory in my mobo, and currently have 2 sticks with 2gb each. would be better to buy 2 4gb sitcks or should i buy an 8 gb and use it with one of my 2 gb sticks untill i get another 8gb. Thanks a lot

Buy a 2x4gb set. Mixing ram modules can be risky, and running 2x4gb in dual channel will be a more solid performer than 1x8 plust 1x2 anyway.
