Hi, i have 1st ddr2 ram with timing 400mhz 5-5-5-18, 1.80v. i bought 2nd ram from different brand with supports 400mhz 6-6-6-18 1.80v. as shown in CPUID.
When i installed both ram, the PC has problems booting, but when i manually set timing to 400mhz 6-6-6-18 1.80v in BIOS, the PC boots and works fine but sometimes gives blue screen error. So i wanted to know since my 1st ram doesnt support 400mhz 6-6-6-18 1.80v. , will setting it manually in BIOS cause problems in future ?

Solution
i can't answer you that, but i can tell you to ram a memtest86 and if you get errors, you should remove that RAM. Actually if you are getting blue screens, you should remove it anyway in my opinion, don't know if there is a workaround playing with BIOS.

I know, yet the pc is working though its causing occasional bluescreen error - (Driver_IRQL_Not_Less_or_Equal). I wanted to know if the error is caused by ram and what happens if i set unsupported timing manually. Will ram get damaged or fry itself ?
