I want to watch bench marks and there are more benchmarks with desktop components than the laptop components.

For Example: The desktop GTX 750 Ti is similar to the laptop GTX 960m (which is true)

EDIT: i forgot that i made a thread like this already. People were saying i7 3770 or the i7 2600

Given the reduced clock speeds, I'd say probably a 4770 (non k) or xeon 1231 v3.

Granted it's a 6th gen so ipc performance has improved but the speed range is 2.6ghz to 3.5ghz. A 4770's clock speeds likely more than make up for any ipc variation running 3.4 to 3.9ghz. A desktop 6700 starts at a base clock of 3.4ghz, nearly the max turbo speed of the laptop equivalent and it has a max turbo speed 600mhz faster. Over 17% faster than the laptop 6700hq and the 6700k is almost 24% faster.
