I am having some weird power issues when connecting multiple monitors and in another thread someone confirmed my thoughts that it was a power supply.

They suggested the EVGA SuperNOVA 650 G3 http://a.co/iAiIkvg

I did a little research and found that going platinum was only $10 more expensive...

I landed on the EVGA SuperNOVA 650 P2 http://a.co/bhA6MGR

$10 won't break the budget and 2% more efficiency... Why not? Is there something I'm missing here?

Thank you very much!!!

Hi - Your not missing anything, the P2 at $10 more is a better value, more efficient, bigger fan, longer warranty,
same OEM (Superflower)

BTW, most Power supply calculators overestimate significantly (as pointed out by Zerk),

90w CPU & GPU (170avg, 213w...

Thanks! I wonder if the Gold one is quieter or has something else that would make it considerable for only $10 less...

Also, just to be sure... According to power calculators I only need 500+ but should I bother going any higher than 650? My setup is as follows:

Corsair CX Series 600 Watt ATX/EPS Modular 80 PLUS Bronze ATX12V/EPS12V 552 Power Supply CX600M
ASUS ATX DDR3 2600 LGA 1150 Motherboard Z97-E/USB 3.1
Intel Core BX80646I74790K i7-4790K Processor (8M Cache, up to 4.40 GHz)
Crucial MX100 512 GB SATA 2.5-Inch 7mm Internal Solid State Drive CT512MX100SSD1
WD Green 2TB Desktop Hard Drive: 3.5-inch, SATA 6 Gb/s, IntelliPower, 64MB Cache WD20EZRX
ASUS STRIX GeForce GTX 970 Overclocked 4 GB DDR5 256-bit DisplayPort HDMI 2.0 DVI-I Graphics Card
Corsair Vengeance Pro 32GB 4 x 8GB DDR3 2400MHz C11 Memory Kit (CMY32GX3M4A2400C11R)
Corsair Vengeance Series Black C70 Mid Tower Computer Case (CC-9011016-WW)

You guys are awesome!

I would question the information you got in the other post.
You have about a 320 Watt PC running a full system stress test.
This power supply would run that just fine for 70 bucks.
