Looking for best GPU my 3.3 ghz CPU/PC can handle.

Sorry I have no idea on how to check if a new card will work in my current setup.

Looking to purchase this week, or asap. The cost of the card doesn't matter, it's gonna be low enough because my CPU is out of date.

I mostly play dota, which runs fine. But other games like Battlegrounds and GTA5 run like hot garbage. Obviously I won't get max settings, Just looking for a card that will be able to run current games on mediumish? settings.

My current GPU is a EVGA Geforce GTX 550TI with a COOLER MASTER, Silent Pro M 850W power supply

Here are my other specs:

CPU: AMD, FX-6100 Six-Core 3.3
RAM: CORSAIR, 8GB (4 x 2GB) Vengeance™
Motherboard: ASUS, M5A97, AM3+, AMD® 970, DDR3-2133

I prefer Nvidia products and buying from amazon for the easy factor. I don't mind buying somewhere else, as long as it's a reputable site.

I don't now anything about overclocking, so that's whatever. And I play at 1920x1080

Basically I don't know how to get the best card my current setup can run, or how to check to see if a card would work in my pc(Connecting it/not over or under killing it). And looking for people who know about these things to be able to check and see if a card will work in my current setup.

It looks like your motherboard has an UEFI bios, this is good because the new Nvidia cards tend to require that for compatibility. Your FX 6100 can still game with the right card and you have 8gb ram which is the minimum you'd want these days.

Since you mention GTA V you'll probably want to stay away from 2gb vram videocards. 2gb is not enough at 1080p for the higher settings. So, keeping with Nvidia, this means a 1050 Ti on the low end and a 1060 on the high end. Most people would advise you to stay away from the 3gb 1060 but in your case I think it's a viable option. It's a nice jump in performance from a 1050 Ti if you can afford it. You can game on something like a 1050, just realize that on more demanding games you'll be limited...

Battlegrounds is early access so performance may be variable, so don't base your purchase on that game.
