Hi All,
Just finished making my budget build and came up with an error... Claims that 'Some Intel B85 chipset motherboards may need a BIOS update prior to using Haswell Refresh CPUs. Upgrading the BIOS may require a different CPU that is supported by older BIOS revisions.'
Build Link: https://au.pcpartpicker.com/user/KikiAnime/saved/kgXWZL
Anyways if you can tell me anything about this it would help alot!
PS.. I know there was no ram, this is as I already have some DDR3 1333 ram handy for this build. Sorry if you were worried by that :)

EDIT: I don't really want any fancy talk... I am buying this MOBO new from UMART AUS and am wondering if it will work out of the box?
-Cheers

1| You're looking at an unlocked K suffix processor and pairing it with a B series chipset?! You should be looking at a Z97 chipset board at the very least.
2| The PSU is more of an expensive paper weight and you also forgot to include ram for the system. Without it, it's not going to boot up. If it does, the PSU will take care in destroying your investments.
3| For the amount of money spent, you might want to look at building a system centered around a Kabylake Pentium G4560.

I'd be happy to look through it if you could followup your post with the necessary information found off this thread.

Only thing i can tell you is that u waste money, getting K cpu with anything else than Z board is waste as you cant overclock it. As for that bios, on this board you need bios 10.4 or later for haswell refresh.

Unless you go for used or refurbished board i don't think you can find one for $100 AUD and less, they are becoming hard to find as they aren't in production now and sellers most of time sell what they have in stock and wont replenish it
