Hi all,

My friends computer will just shut down no blue screen at all and reboot during games, we replaced the PSU and same issue. I suggested we run prime98 and see if we can stress it to see if it's a cpu issue, the moment I start the stress test it immediately shuts down with no blue screen. Any ideas?

insta crash as soon as you stress test normally points to lack of voltage on 1 of the components.
what is the cpu/ram volts set at? do you have xmp enabled for the ram?

if your running an overclock. turn it off by loading optomized defaults. then check your ram volts and timings to make sure there correctly set.
save and reboot. then try stress testing again.

24% load on the max power consumption setting is at 80°c

Looks to me to be a heat shut off issue.. was build in a store I have a feeling they might have forgot or poorly applied thermal compound...

Although in my experience with overclocking heat shut off has usually greeted me with a bsod on bootup?

The old PSU was some shitty none branded thing (seriously this was professionally built) I suggested to replace with a Corsair cr650x.

All systems are at defualt for voltage hasn't been touched.

It has a 7700k, 16Gb s.skill 2444mhz, two SSD, GTX 970, and a mini itx gigabyte mobo
