Hello

Help me i ask about M5A97 R2.0 + ram 2x4gb + 2x8gb

Crucial Ballistix Tactical Low Profile 16GB Kit (2x8GB) DDR3-1600 1.35V
Crucial Ballistix Tactical 8GB Kit (2x4GB) DDR3 1600 CL8 1.5V

my old ram 2x4GB and make Update and get more 2x8GB
16GB very good and Enough for me and when install all 4 ram my mb do not accept
any overclock the 4 ram to any 1866 or more but work good at 1600 8-8-8-24 1.5v in Profile2
if Used any one from kit 2x8 or 2x4 make overclock good and There is no problem

My Question Is there any harm Or risk? on Matherboard If Used my 4 ram 2x4gb + 2x8gb for a maximum of three years

1| It's bad practice to mix and match ram kits even if they are from the same maker.
2| You should work with the 2x4GB kit since it's rated for 1.5v operation. The ram with 1.35v is meant for the Intel platform and is a low voltage variant/kit.
3| Instability of you system can be seen as harm for your computing experience because it just means more time spent with troubleshooting.

FYI, if you must upgrade your ram, do so with a kit of 4x4GB or 4x8GB Kit that has at least 1600MHz and can operate at 1.5v. 1.65v should be the absolute max voltage for your ram kit. On another note, you can look at 1866MHz kits as well for you system.

i.e: DDR3-1600/1866MHz @ 1.5 or 1.65v in 4x4GB capacity or 4x8GB.

Mixing and matching rams will only...

Mixing and matching rams will only cause instabilities. Make sure you update your motherboard BIOS before you buy a new kit. Might I ask where you hail from?
