Hi guys (and girls)

Sadly my new corsair H115i developed a very loud scratching/grinding noise, fresh out of box. :(

It sounds exactly like the two youtube links above.

I unfortunately don't have my own video, as I sent it off the next day after letting it run for a day to see if I could get the bubbles out by tilting it around and whatnot. No luck.

I've returned it to the store where I purchased it from, and they also confirmed the issue, when they've attempted to return it to corsair, I get this email:

"Our supplier have been in contact with Corsair and are unable to replace the unit as they have found no fault. They deem the noise to be within limits and not an indication of the pump being defective."

Anyone have any idea how to proceed? It's been a rough week and I'm afraid I'm just going to get mad at people.

The pump noise to me was unbearable, even trapped inside a tempered glass case, I see quite a few posts of people getting noisy pumps and RMA-ing them, so what's different here?

Solution
1| Make your own video and showcase your concern after you try one more time to see if the noise itself is from the bubbles(due to capitation) in the AIO loop or if the pump impeller is scratching against the pump block's housing. Again, you're going to need your own evidence to showcase to them.

2| Send them a follow up response with the video(and audio) and ask them if they deem it within their tolerance levels...

3| Also ask them if the unit will qualify for a warranty if the unit itself dies, while within warranty period. I'm assuming that the pump impeller will wear out/break and the pump will seize.

the things you can do are:
1. don't ever buy overpriced crap pretending to be liquid coolers. Get a decent thing like Sfitech H220 X2 if you want AiO style or just stick to good air coolers.
2. you can try to disassemble that crap - tricky but doable - and attempt to repair it.
3. try to sell/give it to someone less sensitive to noise.

P.S.
I'm actually surprised that you are anoyed by pump and not by fans on that thing.

Wanted to get a EKWB closed loop, but everything has been out of stock for months, so I went for the H115i, I must say, it worked well for the 1 day I had it, cooler selection in south africa is very limited.

Never used the stock fans, they were far too loud, swapped them out for EKWB vardar fans I had from another build.

I own a corsair H80i in another build, with Vardar F4 fans, and it's super silent, pump and all, can only hear it if I put my ear directly to the pump housing. H115i pump is incredibly loud, can hear it across the room in my case.

Will take everyone's recommendations so far, going to ask the store I got it from what my options could be (refund?) if I can't get that, I'll make a fuss on social media, usually seems to work.
