How do I change the default program to *.exe?

So I installed a game, but everytime I launched it, nothing happens. I opened the default program in control panel and turns out the default program for the game is word 2003. The file type is *.dot, even though it's *.exe on the installation folder. Thank you in advance!

Right click the shortcut, and change the target shortcut. Re-route it to the .exe file and you should be good.

1. What game and where did it come from?
2. You're clicking on the .exe? Does this happen with other exe files?

A .dot file is indeed a Word file...specifically the Word template file.
