My parts
Case:Thermaltake Core V1 Snow Mini-ITX Cube Case
Motherboard: GIGABYTE Intel LGA1151 Z170N-Wi-Fi ITX
CPU: Intel i5-7600K
Cooler: Noctua NH-U12S
Ram: HyperX Fury 2 x8GB (16GB) DDR4 @ 2666MHz (HX426C15FBK2/16)
GPU:Zotac NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6 GB Mini GDDR5
HDD:WD Blue 2TB Desktop Hard Disk Drive - 5400 RPM SATA 6 Gb/s 64MB Cache 3.5 Inch
SSD: DREVO X1 Series 60GB SSD 2.5-inch Solid State Drive SATA3
PSU: Corsair CP-9020046-UK Builder Series CX430 ATX/EPS 80 PLUS Bronze Power Supply Unit, 430W
Monitor: Acer 24" S241HLCbid 75Hz LED Monitor

I have plugged everything in according to the manuals, and have turned it on and it's running but there's no display on my monitor, it says "no signal" no matter which cable I use (I've tried the cdmi and the dvi cables). There aren't any beeps from my motherboard. I'm sure I have to upgrade the bios and download the drivers for everything but I can't do that without the display.

for the ram, i’m only using one of the ram sticks since the pc won't turn on with both. Not sure if my ram slot or my ram stick is broken but i’m hoping to fix that when I can actually access the bios. I've checked the ram and the gpu connections and I've made sure to plug in the 4 pin 12V for the cpu.

i’ve tried unplugging the psu and pressing on the ON button for a minute and then booting it back up, nothing happened.

i’m not sure how to clear my cmos, or reset it. Although I did find in the manual where it is. It just doesn’t look like anything I see in videos or articles. So I don’t wanna tamper with it.

Not sure what else I can do. Any suggestions or should I just replace something (not sure which part though)

Solution
you need to update the bios. it is a kaby lake cpu 7th gen running on a 6th gen motherboard

edit: to do this you need either a skylake cpu (6th gen)borrow or buy. or take it to a store and pay to have it updated, return the motherboard and buy a z270 motherboard. those are your only options.
Well first you want to test each ram slot with each ram stick. This means take stick 1, put it in slot 1, boot up, and record results. Shut down. Then put stick 1 in slot 2, boot up, record. Then repeat for the other stick.

Also are you sure you are plugging your monitor up in to your GTX 1060?

I've done that. only one ram stick and one ram slot work, I tried using the "bad" ram stick in the "working" ram slot, and the pc would turn on and off in a continuous loop. and vice versa for the "bad" ram slot and the "working" ram stick.

yes I did plug it in my gpu and not the motherboard, although when I did try it on the motherboard, nothing happened as well. I also tried using the dvi cable instead of the hdmi. which did not work with either the gpu nor the motherboard.

Ok, is the fans on the GPU spinning? You want to make sure it's getting power. Leave the"bad" stick out for now and let's see if we can at least get a good boot going. Also you may want to remove the GPU if you are still having issues.

Yes they're spinning, so is the case fan and the cpu cooler. yeap the "bad" stick is out. the whole thing turns on. I did try taking the gpu out and plugging in the hdmi on the motherboard instead, still nothing

the monitor seems to be working fine when connected to my MacBook Pro. The monitor is in the right input. I'm scared it might be the motherboard that's fried but I plugged in the psu (with the power switched off) since the beginning of the building process and continuously touched the metal case.

You don't have to plug in the PSU, that's not what grounded means (you actually want it off when hooking up your cables). Not sure why people say make sure your PSU is plugged up. I am not leaning towards a fried motherboard since everything lights up and fans are spinning. Can you try to hook it up to a TV that has HDMI? Use both GPU and motherboard

I meant that it was plugged into the socket but not switched on. Okay, I've tried hooking the hdmi cable to my tv. still no display from the motherboard or the gpu

I had the same issue well sort of. I recently bought a gtx 1070 to replace my gtx 780ti in my main gaming rig. So I took the gtx 780ti and put it in another rig i have in another room it would replace a gtx 580. When I installed the 780ti my monitor would not work. My psu cables for the gpu
had 2 6pin connectors and on both those had 2 more on the side if i needed to use it. So i just changed the connctors around and i had a picture
on the monitor. Its hard for me to describe it but I am wondering if your psu cables for the gpu are the same like mine?

So, to reset your BIOS you can do 2 things. There is a battery on your MOBO:

1. you disconnect your PSU from power outlet.
2. unload all capacitors by pressing for a few seconds the power button on your PC
3. then you can take the battery out for about 10 seconds
4. reinsert it
5. plug your PSU to the power outlet
6. power ON

Or
1. Unplug PSU from power outlet
2. On your MOBO there are 3 pins I`m guessing under which it is written CLEAR CMOS, you need to short those pins using a jumper or anything conductive like a screwdriver
3 Reconnect PSU to power outlet
4. Power on.

Did you connect your MOBO speaker ok? Does it POST beep? Are there any particular smells on the MOBO?
P.S. : You should try if you can, with another MOBO. Mine just did something close to that, it POST beeped like everything is ok then Gigabyte logo appeared for a split second, sometimes with artifacts, and thought it was the GPU... bought a new GPU just to find out that my MOBO was faulty in fact.

I do have a vga cable but my gpu and motherboard doesn't have a vga port. I did try taking out the gpu and connecting the hdmi cable to the motherboard with hopes that the on board graphics would kick in but it still says no signal on my monitor

I don't have a mobo speaker, didn't have any beeps. I'm assuming it smells like metal and nothing out of the ordinary but this is my first build so I can't be too sure. I tried the second method to clear the cmos but I'm not too sure if I did it right, either way it still doesn't work. but I can try again.

not too sure how to do that since I can't even get into the bios to update anything, I am aware that I have to update the bios. how might I do this with the display on monitor not showing anything?
