Need help with Gaming PC

Solution
You went overboard on cost: full tower and PSU. A mid tower is better. Also, the new G3 is top tier PSU.
Must add a SSD to the build. I got rid of the DVD drive cuz you never really need it.

This build saves you $300. Now you could put that towards a 1440p 144Hz.

Honorable
New CPU - 4C/8T, basically an underclocked i7. Doesn't need an aftermarket cooler to overclock.
New RAM - Much faster.
New MOBO - X370 to support Ryzen overclocking.
New CASE - You were spending too much on the case $300 is a lot of money that could be put into a 1080Ti.
New SSD - Put some of the money saved on an SSD, for Windows and all your other apps/games.
New PSU - Unnecessary waste of money, at half the price, you won't notice a difference.

EDIT: Not too good with monitors, but I think these are good:
Asus - PB278Q 27.0" 2560x1440 60Hz Monitor ($327.47 @ Jet)
Acer - B276HK YMJDPPRZ 27.0" 3840x2160 60Hz Monitor ($449.00 @ Adorama)
Dell - S2716DG 27.0" 2560x1440 144Hz Monitor ($479.99 @ Amazon)

One of them is 4K, the others are 1440P, at different prices.
Depends on what you play, if you play FPS games like CS:GO that don't have demanding graphics, go for the 144Hz.
If you play more demanding games, go for 60Hz, although I wouldn't go with the 1440P 60Hz, except if I was on a very low budget.
