Qnap ts-831x vs synology ds1815+? Which of these 2 is better in terms of reliability, security,features,speed etc.? I will be needing 8 bay drive to store all my stuff like 4k YouTube videos,games,music etc. Also how to backup my nas and where?

QNAP makes an awesome nas. Insane amount of features. You get more bang for your buck with qnap.

The plus you hear about synology is the interface is easier to navigate. That said, qnap just recently released an os update that makes theirs a little cleaner and easier
