I want to put a 7'th generation i5 7500 into my Asus B150M-A D4 Motherboard, but the motherboard specifications say that it will only take 6'th generation Skylake cpu's, is there any way I can have my motherboard support the newer cpu?
You need to have a 6th CPU installed, then update BIOS to support 7th. There's no way around it.
Only problem is, the motherboard that I have "Asus B150M-A D4" isn't listed on the ASUS website for downloading firmware, but there is an option to download updates for the "Asus B150M-A" or "Asus B150M-A D3", would this make a difference if I downloaded the BIOS updates for one of these and applied it to my current board?
What you have is B150M-A. There's no D4, D3 signify it uses DDR3 RAM so it's not what you have. D4 doesn't exist, some seller thought it's funny to put D4 in because it uses DDR4 is my guess.

For reference, all 100 series chipset with D3 at the end uses only DDR3 and that's the only reason why they have D3 added. All the rest uses DDR4 there's no point adding D4.
