hello, i have HP compaq 8200 elite, it has i5 2400 and 8gb ram, but a special motherboard with a special power supply which makes it unable to add gpu because my 960gtx gpu wont get enough power from the small 160W hp psu..
i already have 960gtx and 450w powersupply, i cant connect the 450w psu because its special motherboard that doesnt has the 24 pin.. so is there any possible way to connect only my gpu to the power supply, and then i will have 2 power supply for a pc? if so please help me understand how..
thanks

You could but if you get the wiring wrong you can fry your newly purchased GPU. That last line is something we can't really accept since the logical answer to how do I it? is often, you don't. To rub more salt into your wounds, it's never a good idea to buy aftermarket parts for units that have a proprietary connectors which is the primary reason you can't transplant the motherboard into a larger case to drop in that new GPU.

If anything, can you manage to build an entry level system or better yet source a second hand 3rd Gen Intel system that is in a larger volume(chassis wise) to accept the GPU? On the other hand, what is the make and model of your PSU? The wattage isn't the only governing factor for a good PSU.

i didnt fully understand u.. about the risk, how risky is it..? im asking becausei dont see another option.. the gpu and psu i have i bought a long time ago.. the weird pc is just what my father brought.. so i saw i5 2400 and i got excited thinking i might can combine the pc with 960 gtx and then csgo will run perfect but the motherboard is causing the problem.. im not allowed to replace any item of the pc so theres no other option besides charging the gpu with external psu..

about the psu im not sure which one is it i just know the pc called HP Compaq 8200 elite..
i also know that the motherboard require the case of the pc which both has same connection.. without the cable between the mother board and case, the pc wont run.. im not sure why is that but thats how HP decide to do this pc
