I just got a new pc and started playing some of my old favorite games again, but I'm starting to run into a problem where my pcs fans suddenly get very loud, and my screen goes black after a disturbance in the games audio. The computer and programs stay on, but the monitor shuts off. So far the only way I've been able to fix it has been through hard resetting the computer. I've already put the GeForce settings into single monitor mode, reduced the refresh rate to 50hz, and changed it to prefer performance. I'm not quite sure what to do now, any and all suggestions will help!
(Just for reference, I wrote a list of thing that I know are going on with it)
Monitor Blackscreen:
-Occurs while playing games
-Can still use voice chat and hear game audio
-Fans blow harder just before black screen
-Not overheating
-Everything updated
-Computer specs:
CPU: Intel i7 7th Gen
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060
-Running with performance preference in single monitor mode
-Occurs with only some games; SMITE, on occasion WoW, Primal Carnage: Extinction
-Hard restart seems to "fix" issue
