I'm planning on buying the Asrock Z270M-ITX/AC S1151 mITX Intel Z270 DDR4 to replace my gigabyte z170n-wifi which I couldn't update the bios bcs it was not compatible with my i5-7600K.
Anyway, I've already bought my ram which is the HyperX Fury 2 x8GB (16GB) DDR4 @ 2666MHz (HX426C15FBK2/16). I'm just wondering if it would not work with the asrock motherboard bcs it doesn't explicitly say on its website that it supports my ram speed.

I read on a few threads that it would down clock the speed, which is fine with me. But that it also depends on the motherboard. so I'm just wondering if anyone can directly tell me if it works or if I have to get a supported ram stick bcs I'm not sure if I can return the ones I have.

See my previous thread for background on problem: http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/answers/id-3407003/build-turns-display.html
