RAM upgrade for a MSI Z97 Gaming 5 using a i5 4670K

Hi guys,

Playing a game called "PlayerUnknown Battlegrounds" I believe that the current 8Gb of RAM I have is not giving my system its full potential. Knowing this I have decided to upgrade to 16Gb of RAM but I am confused on what to buy for the future due to voltages and what is compatitable. Looking at the list of what is compatitable it shows

This Corsair memory should be compatible with the system, and is rated at 2400 MHz (2400 MT/s). But your system supports 1600 MHz without overclocking. So this memory will be downclocked automatically by the system to 1600 MHz unless you plan to overclock this memory?
The links are not complete, so we can't see the memory details.

But basically a DDR3 2 x 8 GB dual channel kit rated at 1600 MHz (MT/s) and which runs at a working voltage of 1.5 V is recommended.

Have a look here for a list of 2 x 8 GB kits. If there is any doubt about which kit to get, let us know which kit is of interest and we'll confirm whether it is compatible/suitable or not.

I have the same set up, and was going to buy the 1600mhz rate
(2x8gb). If I wanted to but faster ram and overclock the memory, what damage will it do?
