Hello, I want to get rid of my lan cable and move to wi-fi connection on my desktop computer. I have AsRock Z97 Extreme 4 motherboard and I am wondering whether to choose some usb solution or go for some pci-e or m.2 solution? What would be the best?

PCI-E will give you the best results, as you can have a card with large antennas. This all depends on the range to your access point of course.
Using cable is far superior though, so please do reconsider.
