Note: I'm ready to spend any amount, I use my rig for 3D software like Maya, Cinema4D, AfterEffects(it's 3D alright) and Unreal Engine plus gaming. So, I am planning to get a GTX 1080 ti which is the best-performance card on the market (correct me if I'm wrong) and it doesn't support more than 4 displays. So, as a way around it I'm thinking of getting an AMD RX460 (which supports 6 displays with display port(tm) technology) to use as the display adapter. Will this work, or if doesn't will using two Nvidia cards do the trick?

Running two cards on one system wasnt the question. I know that two cards can be used with one monitor with the one not connected to the monitor doing the hard work. What I dont know is if the card used for display can handle multi monitor without any issues

Not sure what you are asking then, video cards can run more than one monitor, primary or secondary cards both. I have run tons of systems with several monitors attached to several cards, all worked fine.
