Hi,
today when I was launching a game (like I do a few days a week), the game crashed at the point where I could started playing (so after the menu's and stuff).
So I tried to launch it again -> same problem
I then tried another game -> same problem
So I decided to reboot and just after the Windows logo (win 10) the screen would turn black and after 30 sec or so the PC booted itself again, and so on and so on, it was stuck in a boot loop.
I tried reinstalling windows (after a format) and windows started up. I tried installing the nvidia drivers and halfway through the installation, the screen went black and my pc rebooted itself and it was again stuck in a boot loop.
I then disconnected the nvidia card and linked my monitor to the gpu of the motherboard and I could boot to windows without any problems.
When I connect the nvidia card and reboot, it's stuck again in a boot loop.
My guess (and after some searching) is that the nvidia card died. But I also read that it could be a faulty PSU as well.
And since I don't want to buy another graphics card just to find that the problem still occurs because it was another faulty component, I just wanted to ask here as well.
My specs:
- Windows 10
- Intel I7-2600K
- Nvidia GTX-580
- Asus P8Z68
- Corsair TX-650
I bought the system 5 years ago and to this day without any problems.
