Hi,

Appreciate some pointers or validation of what I have done with my build...

First time builder...

I did search the forums and also I checked on Phanteks site and found some clarification but it hasn't exactly solved my problem.

Problem 1: I can only power the PC on from the motherboard - The case 'on' switch doesn't turn on the PC - When I switch 'on' from the motherboard the LED's on the case illuminate and the case 'On' button will then works for sleep/ restart function.

Problem 2: I don't know if this is a causal effect of the above problem but when I do start the PC from the MB it initally starts up (fans/ everything) then seconds later it powers down and starts up again!

I have a Phanteks Enthoo Evolv ATX Tempered Glass Case

I have an ASUS ROG Maximus Hero IX motherboard

I have thoroughly read through both component manuals and the only item I can't fully understand is the HDD LED and Power SW location.

On Page 5 of the Phanteks manual is shows the HDD LED, Power SW and Reset SW cables - I have read that Phanteks have removed the Reset SW cable (because I couldn't find it)

On Page 2-9 of the ASUS MB manual it shows the Front I/O controllers pin connectors

I have plugged the HDD LED into the pin extension and instead of the Reset SW I have put the Power SW (where the Reset SW is shown) - Is this correct? I cannot see where the Power SW plug goes apart from that location?

On page 1-2 of the ASUS MB Manual - I have plugged this extension connector into Item 13.

Is that correct?

Appreciate your help! :)

Sorry nothing to see here :)

I found the issue which I bascially spelt out to myself

On page 1-26 of the manual it shows the PWRBTN which must correlate to the POWER SW cable - I just need to move it up 2 pins (out of the RESET pins)

I think this is why it's resetting/ restarting when I turn the power on and why the power button doesn't work on the case.

µI think that you plug it on the wrong pins.
p. 1-26 don't use PLED but PWRBTN
