Just recently my games have been playing fine, 40-50 fps for playersunknown's battle ground, 200 fps or so for rocket league. Then randomly for like 5-10 seconds huge fps drop (down to like 5-10 for PU, 30-40 for RL) and sound distortion.

I've checked my temps my GTX970 never gets over 70C (GPU Z) and my amd fx 8300 never over 55C. I've gone back on GPU drivers, I've ran ccleaner, malewarebytes, cleaned dust off the fans, I feel like I've done freaking everything.

I noticed when alt tabbing while doing temp monitoring CPU would sometimes spike to 100% and sometimes it would happen with my HDD. But I feel like that stuff happened in the background and I just never noticed it anyways or something.

Does anyone have any idea what this issue could be? Any idea of a solution?

the issue could be a background download or your cpu ran into a issue reading your hdd

How do I fix the cpu and hdd not working well together? This is a recurring issue.
