Hi all,

I've got interesting issue.
I have IP camera that is connected via POE.
When I connect ethernet cable from POE(not the powered part) to the PC then this cable is detected and I can ping its IP address. But when I connect it to the router so router doesn't detect it and it's not possible to ping IP address. I tried it with 3 different routers but it it's has the same result. When cable is connected to router then it blinks short time (1 sec) and then nothink.

Any Idea what might be wrong?
Thanks
Jirka

A power injector that meets the standard would appear as a small 2 port switch. What many of the other things called power injectors do it isolate 1 pair of wires. This means only 3 pair are presented to the end device. This means you will be limited to 100m even if things work correctly.

It should in theory work and your port should auto negotiate the slower speed but there are still lots of problems when you have cable issues. Very hard to say maybe you could force the port on the router to 100m
