I saw several posts about this error and tried to follow all of them, I did everything as suggested but it never gets out of error 62.

I tried removing everything, booting with a single DRAM, tried Clear CMOS button, tried Clear CMOS Jumper, tried removing battery from Mobo for 30s, 30min and also 8 hours. Tried reinstalling RAM several times, tried reinstalling CPU. Keep getting chipset error 62. I have no idea what else I could do, I'm pretty sure this is a faulty mobo because there is nothing else I could do, it doesn't get through POST. Also tried changing to backup Bios.

My setup is:

Mobo: ASRock Fatality K6
CPU: Core i7 7700k
RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR 4 2x 16GB 3000Mhz
Cooler: Noctua NH-D15
HDD: Seagate 1tb 7200rpm
PSU: Corsair RM750X
Case: Cooler Master MasterBox 5
GPU: NVIDIA GTX 570

I already contacted ASRock and waiting for the reply, for now there is anything I could do?

Oh dear, you missed out 1 important piece of information, they do 2 versions of that board, the Z270 and older Z170 which one do you have.

The problem if you have the Z170 is it doesn't support kaby lake cpus out of the box, it needs a bios update first for that cpu to work, and for that you are going to need a sky lake cpu or send the board back and get a Z270 board instead.

That is so lame, why they put it supports Kaby lake then? I don't have a Sky Lake processor to do that >.<

It does with a bios update, it's for people who brought it when sky lake was the big thing and now they want to upgrade to kaby lake without buying a new board, however for people who are just going straight to kaby lake, there's Z270.

I take it you have the Z170 then, try and contact the shop your brought it from, they may update it for free for you, failing that, send it back and exchange it for a Z270 instead.

"That is so lame, why they put it supports Kaby lake then?"

Simple - - - because it does - - :ange:

(As opposed to motherboards whose hardware doesn't support Kaby Lake).

BIOS support is a separate issue altogether.

All supported processors for the Fatal1ty Z170 Gaming K6, and the BIOS version required, are listed on ASRock's website if you took the trouble to check it mate:
