Hi all,

Long time listener, first time caller.

So my main rig I've had for a few years is getting pushed aside to make new for my new Ryzen/Vega build. So i'll be moving this PC into my loungeroom as a guest gaming PC, so I thought i'd take a look into OCing it, this is when i realised my RAM has only been running at 1333 this whole time...

I have OC'd the CPU already to 4.3GHz no worries. My problem lies with the memory.

Whenever i try to use an X.M.P profile to run my ram at it's specc'd speed of 2400MHz, it always defaults back to 1333MHz (665.1MHz in CPU-Z).

No matter what i try i can't seem to get it to clock faster than 1333, even if i manually set everything in bios it still only reaches 665.1MHz in CPU-Z.

My specs:

Asus P8z77-v
i5 3570k @ 4.3Ghz
2x 4gb sticks of G.Skill TridentX 2400 (https://www.gskill.com/en/product/f3-2400c10d-8gtx)

Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks legends!
