GPU for 1080p 144hz

Hey guys,

I cant decide between a 1070 or a 1080 for my computer. Because the difference in price is 130 dollar but i dont know if the performance boost is worth the 130 Euros. Could you guys help me out with opinions?
Im upgrading from a gtx 970.

RobCrezz has a good answer, the GTX 1070 is approximately 37% higher in terms of gaming performance than the GTX 980 which makes it 59% more powerful than the GTX 970. As some of the good tech sites say "The GTX 1080 might be the card you lust over, but the card you'll end up buying is the GTX 1070." Go for the GTX 1070, you won't regret it. :) Hope this helps!
