When my cpu hdd gets solid red, it starts freezing. It keeps happening after like 30 seconds. I have a limited time to see the desktop and have to restart again if it freezes. But when I quickly open Firefox after restarting, the hdd doesn't freeze, but if I minimize firefox, hdd freezes again, I don't know why but if all programs are closed, it also starts freezing. So I tried to boot reinstall windows xp in hope that it could solve the freezing problem and the setup loads up all the files and suddenly, hdd turns red at the 'setting up windows xp' step. So, I waited for a couple of minutes and then, I had two option to select - Install and repair. I pressed install and suddenly it says that setup could not detect any hard drive.
