2tb turns into 55.89gb after formating

I just deleted a partition of 1.86tb to make way for a new partition. It is now showing 55.89gb after formating. I need help. It's a actually a new 2tb external hdd. Very worried

Have a look at it using different programs and see if they all report the same thing. Could just be a bug.

Your 2tb didn't just magically disappear. It isn't possible. Reformat again if you need to.
