My computer Freezes/locks up and I cant do anything but hard stop

Yesterday I installed a Windows 10 update the "Creator update" where it adds a bunch of stuff to my computer. Now, whenever I launch a full screen video game it works fine.

But, when I alt-tab or something in the background makes me change tabs, the game freezes up on the game and I can't do anything but hard turn it off.

I've tried doing a factory reset, and scanning my files. Any advice?

Are your games using the new Game Mode? If so, turn it off and see if that fixes the issue. If not, turn it on and see if that fixes the issue. If neither of those fixes the issue, there are some other things you can try.

Just in case you haven't looked it up, to enable or disable Game Mode, hit Winkey+G while running your game, and on the bar that comes up go to the Settings (gear icon as usual). On the menu that drops down, there should be a checkbox for Game Mode.
