Hello everyone: I've been having a hard time trying to figure out how to solve this issue. A week ago, my computer would boot up normally with no issues at all. 3 days ago however, I have not been able to get the computer to turn on w/ a display. Below are my specs:

AMD FX-6300
Kingston 8GB (2*4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory
Seagate Barracuda 1TB 1200RPM
MSI GeForce GTX 960 2GB OC
EVGA 500W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply
Gigabyte GA-970A-UD3P ATX AM3+

Here are all the things I've tried:

  • Removing and reinserting the CMOS battery after 20 minutes - 1 long beep 3 short beeps
Removing and reinserting the video card - 1 long beep 3 short beeps
Moving my ram sticks to different slots - 1 long beep 3 short beeps
Booting up the computer with one ram stick - 1 long beep 3 short beeps

At first I thought it was the GPU, so I took it out and left the ram sticks inside, but I got the same beep pattern. I don't have any spare parts or computers available to use, so I've only been able to troubleshoot with my parts alone. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Solution
Thanks for the feedback.

Glad the computer seems to be working now!

But beep code suggested memory issue. And original video card was removed but still continued to have computer problems. Something else may have changed to allow the computer to work with the other video card(?)

I switched the PCIEX slot for the gpu and still received 1 long beep and 3 short beeps. When I removed the ram, the motherboard started beeping repeatedly. Is there anything else I can try to test the mobo?

2 month update! I sent my PSU back in for replacement and received a new one. I still got the 1 long beep 3 short beep pattern, but I still haven't been able to test the GPU. I'm gonna send the mobo in for a replacement and hopefully solve this problem...
