Hi there, I just ordered my new gaming computer and they are going to assemble it in the store when all parts are in stock, but the thing is, that I ordered another motherboard because my first configuration got lost and blablabla. So the motherboard I have is the "MSI B350 TOMAHAWK ARCTIC" and my CPU is "AMD Ryzen 5 1600X". On the page of the motherboard it says it is only compatible with the Ryzen 7 1xxx processors... Is mine gonna work or should I change this?

On the not-arctic motherboard it does say it is compatible with the Ryzen 5 1xxx processors...

Thanks

Solution
Of course it is compatible with the Ryzen 5 CPUs. Please link to where you saw it wasn't. And always go by the manufacturer's website.

Yeah I checked the MSi website first but I wasn't sure anymore, here is the link to where I ordered it (https://www.alternate.be/html/product/1335482), it's in Dutch but at supported types it only says Ryzen 7 1xxx (Summit Ridge)

But thank you for your fast reply!!

Either that website author is ignorant, or the website was written before the Ryzen 5 was released and never updated. Ryzen 7 was the first of the Ryzen line to be released. Ryzen 5 came later.
