Hello guys

Im thinking about changeing my card mostly for vr
My other important specs are:
I7 6700k
16gb ram
Xfx 850w psu
I dont think there would be any bottleneck
Im playing in 1080p and mostly league of legends but in the summer im planning to buy a htc vive

My original plan was to get a 1080 ti now and buy a vive next year but i got an offer that my 970 +100$ for a 1070 inno3d 2x (with warranty and i can personally test the card first)

100$ is kind of cheap for a capable card like the 1070 and i wont have to deal with the tedious work of selling the 970 xD

But im a bit hesistant in that will the 1070 run vr well?
Also in 1080p i only have 2 conserns: deus ex mankind divided and mass effect andromeda since the 970 only had problems running thiese 2 x)

Solution
The 1070 is a better card all around. It isn't 3.5GB RAM + 512MB of secondary RAM for a total of 4GB. (EDIT: Well, as far as how it accesses its 4GB of RAM, it might as well be separate and secondary.) It is pure 8GB. At 1080p, it will run 144Hz, maybe better, at high to ultra settings. It's also more on par with the old GTX-980 and in some instances can start to tread into 980Ti territory dependent on a few factors. The 1070 will do good VR. (If you want Best VR, you'll need to move up to the GTX-1080.)
