I was given an Acer Predator G3 (AG3-605-UR37) for free and im looking to upgrade my graphics card but im new to all of this. Im not sure which one to get, dont want to waste money on a Nvidia GeForce GTX 970 4gb video card if it doesnt fit in my computer. Ill buy a new computer case if thats the problem but if not, i'd appreciate the help.

Here are the computer specs:

(CPU)
Intel Core i7 4770 @ 3.40GHz 35 °C
Haswell 22nm Technology

(RAM)

(Motherboard)
Acer Predator G3-605 (LGA1150) 35 °C

(Graphics)
SAMSUNG (1366x768@60Hz)
2048MB ATI AMD Radeon HD 7700 Series (Sapphire/PCPartner) 34 °C

(Storage)
931GB Seagate ST1000DM003-1CH162 (SATA) 36 °C

(Optical Drives)
MATSHITA DVD-RAM UJ8E1

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

Don't get a maxwell 970 unless you can get it for cheap. There is absolutely no reason not to invest in pascal or Polaris, they outperform other older cards for lesser money.
IMO, if you are worried about space issues, you should look at some Zotac variants. Their cards are generally smaller than others without compromising performance. But I don't think you'll run into any issues with tight corners with that case. So your research, pick the card you want, and then look up its dimensions and see if they fit in your pc

Thank you so much for the help! Glad to have found some help so quickly. I probably would have spent a lot more money than I needed to. Again, thanks to you, i'll be able to play 2016/2017 games on graphic settings higher than poopoo quality :D
