Hi, my passive adaptor won't work on my monitor, from what I've searched in the past few days, an active adaptor is needed for my 1050 Ti, is that really the case?? Thanks.
Moreover, my monitor supports a dual link DVI-D signal input apart from VGA input, can I use a DVI-D M/M cable to connect my 1050 Ti with my monitor directly?? It maybe a dumb question but I don't really know. Thanks

Solution
Yes you would need an active adapter if you using VGA input on the monitor.
Yes you can use a DVI-D cable to connect from the 1050 Ti to the monitor.
