New PC Build crashing on Startup (Windows 7)

I just built my first PC:
(AMD FX-4100, ASUS am3+, Nvidia GT 610) using an ssd from my old pc with windows 7 already installled. The PC boots fine but crashes on the 'Starting Windows' screen as the three little wisps appear.

I've tried startup repair to no avail. Something on the diagnosis of startup repair mentioned bad drivers?

Also Safe Mode isn't an option for some reason?

Any help you guys can give is paramount! Thanks in advance.

Thank you both so much! I'm so happy that the solution is as simple as that.

Do I always need to do this with new PCs?, or are there some circumstances when a straight up HDD swap will work?

windows 8.1 and windows 10 do allow a straight swap some of the time . if you're switching from amd to intel or vice versa.. there will be too many conflicts . it's always better to reinstall imo. saves having to do it later !

edit: remember though if you do a clean install ie formatting the disk.. you will lose everything on there . so if you have a spare hard disk i would use that if you need to keep photos and documents .

Just to clarify, I can just throw a bootable USB in there right and reinstall that way right?
