Can i install a driver for headphones that requires the headphones to be plugged in the pc without the headphones?

I had some headphones 2 years ago that had some pretty cool drivers(a feature you dont find on other headphones). The point is,the drivers can only be installed if the headphones are plugged in the pc and the headphones broke and i lost them.Is it possible to install the driver without them?

Most device drivers require that the related device be plugged in or installed in order that it can be detected by the install routine (designed to avoid/prevent you installing a driver that doesn't match the detected hardware).

The drivers you have may not be compatible with other headset makes/models anyway if you were hoping to use those drivers with a different headset, in which case you would have to buy the same ones if they are still available.

You can isntall the drivers itself, but if the software requires that it is plugged in, then no. I know my Logitech camera actually requires I plug it in before installing the drivers. Worst case, you can Google the exact name and try to download the drivers without the software.
