Can i use a PCI-Express x16 in a PCIe 2.0 x16

I have a PCI 2.0 x16 port and I want to buy a PCI-Express grapics card. Will it work with my port or no?

Other case is not working. Like mine, motherboard with PCI Express 16x Rev.2.0 instaled with Radeon 250x PCi Express 3.0. The results is blank screen. but fan, hd, light, power is running like always. Than i instaled with my other VGA with support PCi Express 2.0, And the results is WORKING FINE.

I think if you have A VGA with PCI Express 3.0 support. Than you must instaled to motherboard with PCi Express 16x Rev.3.0 or you can update bios motherboard PCi Express Rev.2.0. Sometimes in other case is WORKING!
