I am in the process of 'retiring' my 4 years hold Dell m4800 laptop. I'd like to replace it with a simple laptop/tablet for traveling and a workhorse for working at home.
The system will be used for my 'work' (IT enterprise consulting) and 'fun' (sports photography). I tend to use my home built systems for 4 or 5 years.
The sports photography hobby work can be intense; it is common for me to shoot 3000 pictures on a football weekend. I process all photos through lightroom; disk I/O and imaging rendering time is important.
I'd like to get feedback on the following system. Does it seem like it is overkill? Will the CPU really help? Is there any real benefit to the 1060 (I am considering going to a 1050)?
Thanks for the feedback!
Steve
