I have already tried the bitfenix prodigy original and m. No, I do not want nor have the money for a laptop.
Current Specs (motherboard can be changed):
i7 6700k
zalman cpu cooler 165mm height
4x4gb hyperX ddr4 2133Mhz
z270X Gigabyte ultra gaming
Gigabyte 1070 Xtreme Gaming @ 1898Mhz
intel 730 series 240GB ssd
wd ^2 black 1tb sshd
Sentey 750W Semi-Modular PSU

Avoid that PSU at all costs. Get a Seasonic S12II 630 if you're on a tight budget. If you can't afford that, downgrade other parts until you can.

Also, are you planning on running two 3.5" drives? And are you at all willing to consider a smaller CPU cooler?

Do you have to have 4 sticks of RAM?

Lastly, what do you consider "portable"? Do you want the monitor, keyboard, and mouse to travel with the computer? What about a headset/speakers? What does it all need to fit inside of? A bag? A car?

Why avoid this PSU? I've had it for 2 years and its been fine even for overclocking....

I can get a smaller cooler, and am not planning on getting any 3.5's in the near future. Ram is also negotiable. I've been looking at some corsair vengeance LPX 16gb (2x8.).
I was hoping on something easy to transport in a car and carrying down a decently long hallway, and isn't huge. Handles are optional.

Sentey makes exactly one model that's any good. Most of their PSUs have inadequate power filtering, are missing protection mechanisms, offer very poor voltage regulation, and use bargain-basement components.

The reason I asked about the 3.5" drives is because you seem to have them in the opening post. I don't know what "wd ^2 black 1tb sshd" was supposed to mean. I assume it's supposed to be two 1 TB Western Digital Black hard drives, which are 3.5" models if I'm not mistaken.

When you say you tried the Bitfenix Prodigy and Prodigy M, how? Neither the motherboard nor the cooler will fit.

The WD ^2 is a 2.5 sshd.
I've bought the regular one and didn't find it to be what I wanted.

Okay.

Take a look at this build. The board only supports 2 sticks of RAM, and you won't be overclocking it much if at all, but all that is expected in a portable build (especially if the Prodigy isn't portable enough). Naturally, it also calls for a SFF power supply.

Thanks to those changes, it all fits in a case that's roughly the size and shape of a briefcase.

Let me know if those were not your priorities.
