I have a FX6100
Gigabyte mobo (forgot the model info)
GTX1060 6GB
2x8gb 16 GB gskill ram ddr3 ram

i need to upgrade my CPU at the least planning on a FX8300 as my CPU is bottlenecking on alot

if anyone has a reccommendation for a total of 150$ at mostatm that would be nice.

I need to upgrade ASAP and i get paid real soon, i would save if i didn't already have plans for the next check (stuff to get for other things)

I need to upgrade, this CPU is bottlenecking very badly on even some older games. Its really old now.

well do you have a budget suggestion upgrade? i need to upgrade before this one dies on me. as of late 24 hours of running causes my CPU get sluggish and cause my games to randomly Frame skip for no reason.

... I *NEED* to upgrade NOW, does no one READ. I need an upgrade before this PC dies, this CPU is 5-6 years old and honestly, The stuff my family has put through it as my old man used it to MINE BITCOIN at one point does not help it's life. I need to upgrade now. PLEASE GIVE ME A SUGGESTION INSTEAD OF SAVING. I cannot save for an upgrade, i need to make an upgrade.

I found an Intel Core i3-6100 3M + mother board combo for about 160 and a FX 8350 Combo for 170....

The I3 rates better than the FX6100, that is even over my hopeful budget, should i go for it?

Dang it the I3's motherboard is a DDR4 RAM GRRR i can't afford new ram!

That's why I suggested the i3 4160 as you'll be able to use your current ram. Down the road, sell the i3 and upgrade to an i5 or i7 k series.

Also the issue is with pricing, im trying to get a bit cheaper, Is there an Motherboard that is cheaper i could use that CPU with? I have an old GTX 660 GPU i could try to sell, but im really trying to get it asap

my motherboard won't support it the max it supports is FX8300 for the FX series...
(I just checked it,)

This is my CPU by Model number CPU-Z says REV is 00 and show x.x next to Model number
