Is my cpu not compatible with my motherboard?

So i just change my old cpu with a new one (Phenom II X4 965) to my motherboard ( ECS A880LM-M). The fps in my games dropped significantly. Any help?

No, because like I said, if there is anything wrong with it, your PC won't boot/play games.

If i wasn't compatible it won't work. Yes, they are compatible.

Thanks kevin, and oh yeah, I just realized that I took the phenom from my old computer which the motherboard was broken. Is it possible that my cpu was broken because of the motherboard?
