SO! I got a multi layer problem, that I can't seem to find solutions to anywhere.
(If there is another thread, plz tell me.)

My dear nvidia 560ti went caput. Although still technically "working" the screen looks exactly like this guy's:
http://

So I decided to upgrade, and got a MSI R9 380 (4g) (didn't come with a driver cd)

1. the computer is windows 7

2. Uninstalled all the nvidia drivers I could find.
(nvidia card automatically installs drivers when put in.)

3. Com has a Asrock 870 Extreme3 motherboard, that doesn't have a built in component video output. (so the radeon software can't find the correct drivers online)

4. And the drivers I've manually installed aren't working either. Just black screens during boot up.

Got the drivers from the AMD site here:
http://

Any ideas are much appreciated.

Solution

Ouch, I don't now what to say, other than you.
Hehe, sometimes I go blind.

Ok. Asrock 870 Extreme3 is an AMD chipset.
I suggest that you check the current Bios version.
When your computer is starting up, press F2 to enter the BIOS setup. You can check the BIOS version in “BIOS version” item under Main menu.
Latest Bios ver. 1.60
Hi,

Nr. 3. It should not matter.
Nr. 4 The Amd drivers should be brought home from this site: http://support.amd.com/en-us/download

What motherboard do You have? if it is AMD Chipset, you should pay extra attention to the site I recommend, because under Optional you will find the latest chipset drivers. otherwise just download the AMD graphics package > right click on the setup file > run as administrator > follow the instructions > restart the computer when it says so.

Best regards from Sweden
