I am planning to upgrade my current processor (Phenom X4) to a newer processor (Phenom II X6) but what i was reading about the Phenom II X6 1090T-1100T they aren't compatible with ddr2 ram. I looked on the ASRock website and it does say that these processors are compatible with my motherboard but my motherboard only supports ddr2 ram, so i'm wondering if i'll be able to successfully upgrade my processor without any issues. Thanks in advance!

From the page http://www.asrock.com/mb/AMD/A770DE+/
Support for Socket AM3 processors: AMD Phenom™ II X6 / X4 / X3 and Athlon II X4 / X3 / X2 processors
AM2+ MBs support Athlon/Phenom II processors
and also: http://www.asrock.com/mb/AMD/A770DE+/#CPU
AM3 Phenom II X6 HDE00ZFBK6DGR(BE) 125W Thuban 3300MHz 2000MHz 512KBx6 6MB E0 P1.70
So it should work but will be pretty much limited by slow, DDR2 RAM. Also make sure you have adequate BIOS version before trying new processor.
