Greetings!
We've been using Intel 2011 platform for a couple of years, not so long ago we got a test configuration based on AMD Ryzen R7. One of the key tasks for our PCs is virtualization (currently based on VM Ware Workstation).
Most of virtualized systems are Windows XPs because we use old IDE for Xilinx PLCs development. Also we have virtual machines with different versions of Linux. Usually we've just copy the folder with VM and the open it on any other Intel PC in our lab and all works okay. As for Ryzen config we've encountered problems with Xilinix IDE in VMs, it just hangs in windows 7 environments and stuck at 100% CPU load inside Windows XP VMs.
I would like to know is there any difference between virtualization on Intel and AMD platforms, witch perform faster? Is there any way to emulate Intel CPU via AMD virtualization to fix bug with old software in VMs?
