Im made a thread a few months back on looking to overclock my i5 2500k and now I have finally made the decision to go ahead and try.

I have clocked my CPU at 4.2 Ghz. However my voltages are fluctuating from 0.9v to 1.25v, occasionally hitting 1.33v to 1.37v as max value, which from what I've read is pretty high for 4.2Ghz overclock.

So I've changed the voltage settings around in the BIOS on the 'Dynamic Vcore' option but HWmonitor are still reading the same values (1.37v at Max).
I've looked in to guides for specifically Gigabyte motherboards where they seem to have 'CPU Vcore' option on their screenshot under voltage settings but mine only has 'Dynamic Vcore' setting. So I'm not really sure if I'm changing the settings under the correct option for voltage.

This is my first time Overclocking, so any guidance is much appreciated.

My Specs :

Here are my specs below.

CPU: i5 2500k 3.3ghz
RAM: G.Skill 8GB DDR3 1600Mhz RipjawsX CL9 (9-9-9-24) 1.5V
GFX: MSI NVIDIA GTX970
MOBO: Gigabyte GA-P67A-D3-B3 P67 Rev 1.0 (Version F7)

Thanks

EDIT : I've added some photos of the options I have on voltage in the bios menu here and here.

Try to put the vcore offset to "-", and then set it as Low as you want. This, in theory will make sure that your vcore st any time does not go above the voltage value you manually set, and also makes sure that your vcore doesn't go anywhere below the limit you set.

Thanks for the reply.
Im guessing my Dynamic Core option is the offset, as it as the + and - volts on it. I've changed the offset to - 1.01v but HWMonitor are still getting the same readings in voltage. I dont have the CPU vcore option on my BIOS so manually setting an actual voltage is not the option here.

Will continue to try lower offset voltages.

UPDATE : I've changed the voltage to -0.020v and still getting the same readings. And I also noticed that my options for Dynamic Vcore voltage goes up in 0.010 (plus or minus 0.010, 0.020 , 0.030 and so on) without allowing me to input specific voltages.

I've put 2 links on my thread post showing the voltage options I have on my BIOS.
