How well do powerline adapters work?

I know it's better than wifi but does it give you the max speed from your internet, or does it give you the advertised speed (500 Mbps, 1000 mbps etc.)

It won't give you the the max speed, because the signal is still going through a medium, but whatever the speed is on the adapter is the speed you are going to get. Not to mention, you need to know the speed from your ISP. Is it 500Mbps?

I have AT&T and it ranges from 80-100mb download and like 10mb upload so I'm guessing it wrong boost it to 500 mbps
