So as the title states I am looking for a motherboard that I can purchase for my new and first desktop build, I need it to be compatible with the CPU in the title as I just got that. I also would like it to be able to take a bunch of different ram types by that I mean the different MHZ but be DDR3.

I found this one I'll link to but on PCParPicker it said this, also here is a link to the board in question https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813157582&nm_mc=AFC-C8Junction&cm_mmc=AFC-C8Junction-PCPartPicker,%20LLC-_-na-_-na-_-na&cm_sp=&AID=10446076&PID=3938566&SID=

"Some AMD 970 chipset motherboards may need a BIOS update prior to using Vishera CPUs. Upgrading the BIOS may require a different CPU that is supported by older BIOS revisions."

Why are you going with such old tech? For the same price you can go with a G4560 & B250 motherboard which will outperform that 4350. Not to mention the Pentium will give you a much better upgrade path.

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant

CPU: Intel - Pentium G4560 3.5GHz Dual-Core Processor ($58.88 @ OutletPC)
Motherboard: ASRock - B250M Pro4 Micro ATX LGA1151 Motherboard ($61.98 @ Newegg)
Total: $120.86
Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available

If your buying in the US the components I picked above are cheaper & faster. Also that motherboard won't support that CPU at least per the manufacturer website (MSI).

CPU compatibility list.

Dual core castrated cache beat a vishera? I dont think so even if its sky or kaby based. Benchs show it winning in a few RTS games by 1 or 2 fps whic are not even coded for 4 threads which may I add hyperthreading=fail.
The 4350 for 49 dolla once OCed and Ive got them stable 24/7 @ 5.2 will destroy any intel cpu at that price range

Thank you for the recommendation Blackbird, I originally wanted to get the MSI Gaming 970 but It's currently out of my budget range, I may have enough by next week when I go to buy it if I get the money I need. Would you say the MSI Gaming 970 would be adequate?

Can you back any of this up with anything remotely creditable?
Inlcuding your mystical 5.2ghz fx 4350?

I hope you realize that your "quad core" is not really a quad core and is just AMD equivilant to dual core + hyper threading

The asrock pro 3m you originally enlisted is absolutely fine, as is the ds3p blackbird listed.

Steer clear of cheap MSI boards & 760g series chipset boards.
The msi gaming is fine though.

On a budget you should have picked the 6300 over the 4350 though mate.
Its a far better CPU & at the moment is the only fx chip I'd consider buying because its so cheap

I own a 970 they are rare now and considered collectable , very good at OCing for a 8 phase VRM in fact it doesnt throttle like Asxxx brands with 12 phase.

Since your not gonna find a MSI 970 gaming try the new carbon version, its improved and should OC just as well.

Dont listen to the ones saying new tech, yes intel is an option, but worth it only for high end, but now tables have turned just like ialmost 20 years ago with Tbirds and A64s destroying pentiums. Ryzen will dominate the best is could if it wasnt for intels massive brand hype and marketing tactics with sheldon saying get rekt :/
AMD has always been better budget, and now with Ryzen I see no reason to buy a 4350 maybe for 49 just as a temp solution, but honestly I would wait for Ryzen R3 if you can save a bit still want bang for buck budget.

That's a decent board and will pair fine with the 4350.

Hey if I had 1000 dollar Id buy as many as I can and resell they are collectable. If you can then go for it, one of top 3 mobos I ever owned
