Wanting to get into pc gaming. I would prefer building my own just for the joy of building it. Not really sure how to approach any of the parts. I've got a few friends that have already build their own and they all have different opinions on parts and I was wondering whats the best way to build one. I plan on using it for a while. (I'm in 10th grade right now and I'm hoping to bring it to college when I go) Feel free to make any recommendations to any of the lists I have right now. Thanks in advance :)!

Solution
If you get a 1440p 144hz or a 4k monitor, then you should probably get the GTX 1080. If you get a 1080p 144hz monitor or a 1440p 60hz monitor, then I'd get the GTX 1070. If you get a 1080p 60hz monitor, then I'd get an RX 580. Would be best to look at those combos depending on your budget and what kinds of games you want to play.

This is a better build, you don't need an x370 board unless you're running 2 graphics cards and this gigabyte board supports 3200MHz RAM, which I have changed your RAM out for 3200MHz B die memory. The Nex power supply units are notorious for failing, the GQ or G2 is a better choice. Finally, the 1600 vs 1600X is a good place to save money as, especially with the cooler, you can easily OC the 1600 to the same levels as the 1600X. Hope this helps

Also if you don't want to pay for windows 10, you can get by without a key

Also, what resolution are you planning on gaming at? A GTX 1080 might be a bit overkill

To be totally honest not really sure. I just want to make sure it will last and also so i don't have to upgrade later down the road
